Lion's Tooth Pediatric Dentistry And Orthodontics

The American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Dental Association, and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry all recommend establishing a dental home for your child by their first birthday. Children who visit the dentist early are more likely to receive consistent preventive care, develop healthy habits, and grow up comfortable in the dental chair. That comfort is something we work hard to earn from the very first visit.
Before you come in, we encourage you to talk about the dentist as a friendly doctor who helps keep teeth healthy and strong. Keep it simple, keep it positive, and try to avoid sharing any anxieties of your own, even casually. Children are wonderfully perceptive, and the way a dental visit is framed at home often shapes how it feels when they arrive. We will take care of the rest.
Every child who walks through our doors is different. Different temperaments, different comfort levels, different histories, different needs. Our team has specialized training in caring for children with special healthcare needs.
We do not rush. We do not push. If a child needs a moment, we take a moment. If part of an appointment needs to wait for another day, we wait. Building trust is not something that can be hurried, and we have found that the time we invest in a child’s comfort during the early visits pays off in ways that are visible for years.
When sedation is the right choice, we work closely with families to make that decision thoughtfully. And when a child is simply nervous, positive encouragement from our team and from the caregivers in the room makes a measurable difference.
We care for every child as if they were our own.

We believe every child deserves excellent dental care, and we do everything we can to make that care accessible to the families we serve. Understanding dental insurance can be frustrating, and we are happy to help wherever we are able.
We are in network with Delta Dental and Superior Dental Care. We welcome families with other commercial dental insurance plans as well, though coverage and in-network status will vary by plan. We encourage you to contact your insurance carrier directly to confirm whether our office is considered in-network or out-of-network for your specific policy.
Please note that our office is not in network with state or federally funded insurance plans.
To help us provide an estimate of your child’s benefits ahead of time, we ask that you share your insurance information with us before your appointment. Accurate and up-to-date information on file allows us to submit claims on your behalf and give you the clearest picture possible of your expected costs.
Insurance policies vary widely and often include exclusions, limitations, and frequency restrictions that are outside our control. While we will always do our best to help you understand your coverage, we are a third party to your insurance contract. The details of your plan, including deductibles, co-pays, maximums, and exclusions, are ultimately between you and your carrier, and we are unable to guarantee coverage or payment.
All deductibles, co-pays, and patient portions are due at the time of service. Any balance remaining after insurance payment is the responsibility of the parent or guardian. If a claim has not been paid within 60 days, the outstanding balance becomes the family’s responsibility.
Our doctors will always recommend treatment based on what is in your child’s best interest, clinically and personally. Some services that are right for your child may not be covered by your plan or may not be considered medically necessary by your carrier. When that happens, we will talk through your options openly and honestly so you can make the best decision for your family.
We offer convenient payment plans through CareCredit to help make care manageable for families navigating costs out of pocket. Please contact our office with any questions about payment options and we will do our best to find a path forward that works for you.
