Say hello to the heart of Lion’s Tooth Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics, our mascot Dan de Lion, or just Dan for short.

Dan is brave but gentle, confident but calm, and always ready to help little smiles feel safe and happy. He knows that showing up and opening wide takes real courage, and he thinks every child who does it deserves to be celebrated.

His name carries a story worth knowing. The word dandelion comes from the French phrase dent de lion, which means lion’s tooth. It is also the flower of the military child, a symbol of resilience, adaptability, and the ability to bloom wherever you are planted. Dr. Stacey, Dr. Cook, and Dr. Speier all proudly served in the United States Air Force, and that symbol has always meant something personal to them. It still does. It is woven into everything we built here, right down to our mascot’s name.

You will spot Dan around our office cheering on brave patients, celebrating big moments, and reminding every child that their smile is worth fighting for. He is living proof that the bravest things often come in the littlest packages.
